I Love Helping People. 

That’s a general statement, huh? Truth is. I’m still discovering in what ways I love helping people. I started Yours Truly VA as a way to explore my interest in the beauty industry. I have tried it all. I started a business 5 years ago called Natalie’s Boutique. I wanted to offer hair extensions, but if I’m being honest I had never really sold anything before let alone started a business. First of all, it was way too similar to the well established business Kendra’s Boutique. Second of all, I didn’t know my “why” I just knew I wanted a business. What I did know was that I had to go back to the drawing board. 

I proceeded to have failed attempts with being a lash tech and microblader. Then it dawned on me that I don't have to BE a beauty professional to BE in the beauty industry. I started to reimagine starting a business and how I wanted to help people. Most of my professional experience is in education. Since 2017, I’ve worked with students, counselors, parents, and community organizations to educate and inform students about higher education. During that time I learned I’m people oriented and equity focused. No matter what the company is about, its purpose should be to serve the people that it intends to serve. 

That’s when I realized I want to help business owners improve their business systems, client experience, and client retention. As first generation entrepreneurs or individuals who have had the pleasure of working for themselves most of their professional career I can provide insight into how other organizations run their company. My motto is you have to treat your small business like a big business if you want to scale and generate more revenue. Although being a virtual assistant doesn’t allow me to be a business consultant I am able to work with beauty professionals to improve their business infrastructure.
